What is Iridology?
Someone said that the iris is the living image of what the eye has been, what it is, and even what it can become. "The iris is like a chalkboard which does not get erased."
Iridology (pronounced
eye-ri-dol'-ogy) is the science of studying the iris or the colored portion
of the eye. Iridolog
y is based on empirical
observations (made by medical doctors and other researchers over the last 300
years) which suggest that certain dysfunctional states in the body are indicated
by different textures and color properties within the iris. It is useful for preventative health because
these imbalances in the
body can be detected early on, giving time for adjustments to be made using
natural therapies.
In addition to this, Iridology is:
The basic premise of Iridology is to holistic in nature -- to consider the relationships within the body and where imbalances are located. It does not attempt to address a specific symptom or disease. However, once uncovered, these imbalances (and factors contributing to them) can be addressed, often causing symptoms to diminish or disappear.
Iridology is an invaluable tool for designing a plan for well-being.
What are the Benefits?
Children as well as adults benefit from an Iridology session.
Iridology:
Your body wants to be in balance, and when you give it what it needs, it will respond and do what it can to regain balance, allowing you to make the most of your life.
Information gathered in an Iridology session provides particular and valuable information for your health and wellness.
How Long Has It Been Around?
The science of Iridology has been around for thousands of
years and was mentioned in the works of Hippocrates. A form of iris
interpretation was used in ancient China -- fortunately, it has made great
progress since then.
Researchers of Iridology look at lots of eyes! Studies have been done around the world (and are still continuing), and all of this has culminated in the science of Iridology practiced today. With the use of microscopes and digital cameras developed over the past 20 years, research has advanced rapidly.
Dr. Bernard Jensen, considered the Father of Iridology in the United States, and many other Iridologists from around the world have contributed to the form of Iridology practiced at Healthy Living.
What is Sclerology?
Sclerology (pronounced scler–ol'-ogy) is the interpretation of the sclera or the white part of the eye. A Sclerologist observes the red lines, various colors and gels seen in the eye and then compiles this information to make recommendations that will build health.
What are the Benefits?
Sclerology is non-invasive and it’s a cost-effective way to assess the body. Children as well as adults benefit from these appointments. It is one of the tools I recommend to all of my clients. Sclerology can:
Dr. Leonard Mehlmauer also
explained that one of the real benefits of
Sclerology is that “signs can show up
in the sclera long before they are felt as symptoms. This is a great advantage
in terms of treatment, prevention, and especially health promotion.”
Your body wants to be in balance, and when you give it what it needs, it will respond and do what it can to regain balance, allowing you to make the most of your life.
I feel that information gathered in an Sclerology session provides invaluable information for your health and wellness.
What does Sclerology reveal?
Sclerology is helpful in revealing how one part of the body can influence symptoms of discomfort in another. This helps us uncover root causes that may be causing your symptoms. Sclerology can identify:
Sclerology has been around for thousands of years. We have seen drawings from China made over a thousand years ago and Native Americans also used it for health care. It has made great progress since then, thanks to the help of photography, digital imaging and computers. There are also more and more people contributing to Sclera research.
Dr. Mehlmauer says, "One thing is certain - we haven't heard the last of this fascinating form of analysis. With technology advances in digital cameras and computer applications, as well as interpretation of the emotional signs and the mind-body connection, research around the world is revealing the inherent wisdom of this system."
Note: Iridology and Sclerology do not reveal disease and an appointment doesn’t lead to a diagnosis. While the iris and sclera can reveal some current conditions and stress affecting body systems, it is most useful for prevention and long-term health.
